Narrative:

#3 engine vibration warning followed periods of sensed vibration. Engine shutdown completed, and drift down to FL280 begun. Subsequently descended to FL260. Requested quiet/discrete frequency. A couple were given, but several further frequency changes made. Landing was made at dfw west/O incident, runway 17L. A single quiet frequency could have prevented a lot of interruptions during checklist and engine review, as well as in event of further emergencys. After considering WX and flight conditions, emergency was not declared.
