Narrative:

Air carrier Y had 11 minutes intrail from air carrier X at one fix entering the oceanic sector. Both were assigned mach .84. They went by the next fix (600 miles) with 9 min. This error was overlooked. The estimates were passed to tokyo with 9 minutes. They crossed the exit fix with 8 minutes. Tokyo called the transferring sector before air carrier Y crossed the exit fix. 2 new controllers were at the sector. Action taken: air carrier Y speed reduced. No evasive action taken. Training was being conducted on both right and D sides. Reason for error: busy with traffic and did not see time error.
