Narrative:

Provided a conformation check on a work card for removal of tools and materials and was later discovered that speed tape was left on the right-hand (right/H) static port. The work was performed at the line at night and I; mechanic X; was working with mechanic Y. The [speed] tape was not seen during my walk around due to not having a red flag on it and speed tape does not stand out well in that spot. A red flag should always be used when blocking any static port.
