Narrative:
After pushback cmh, called for taxi clearance. 'Taxi to runway 28R'. No specific route was specified. As a fueling truck was on the ramp blocking a left turn, I took the shortest most direct route to 28R, which exited the ramp at northeast corner and on taxiway east to 28R hold line. As I was taxiing on east heading west, the ground suddenly said 'hurry to next intersection and turn right. When you are on east paralleling runway 28R, 28R is closed'. There was a small aircraft on final for 28R. I did as instructed, and the small aircraft landed without incident. Nowhere in our 10-7 or 1101 or NOTAMS is it stated not to taxi on east at the northeast end of cmh ramp! There is no sign on the ground stating this either. I have 4 recommendations to prevent a similar occurrence: 1) if a potential conflict exists, ground control should state a specific taxi route. 2) move the hold short line to short of taxiway east at northeast ramp. 3) a prominent note should be put on kcmh P 11-1 stating not to taxi on east until cleared to by tower. 4) a ground sign should be placed prior to east requiring tower clearance to enter.

Title: WHILE TAXIING ON TXWY E TO RWY 28R AT CMH, ACR MLG WAS ADVISED IT WAS NECESSARY TO CLOSE THE RWY UNTIL THEY REACH THEIR HOLD SHORT POSITION.
Narrative: AFTER PUSHBACK CMH, CALLED FOR TAXI CLRNC. 'TAXI TO RWY 28R'. NO SPECIFIC ROUTE WAS SPECIFIED. AS A FUELING TRUCK WAS ON THE RAMP BLOCKING A LEFT TURN, I TOOK THE SHORTEST MOST DIRECT ROUTE TO 28R, WHICH EXITED THE RAMP AT NE CORNER AND ON TXWY E TO 28R HOLD LINE. AS I WAS TAXIING ON E HDG W, THE GND SUDDENLY SAID 'HURRY TO NEXT INTXN AND TURN RIGHT. WHEN YOU ARE ON E PARALLELING RWY 28R, 28R IS CLOSED'. THERE WAS A SMALL ACFT ON FINAL FOR 28R. I DID AS INSTRUCTED, AND THE SMALL ACFT LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. NOWHERE IN OUR 10-7 OR 1101 OR NOTAMS IS IT STATED NOT TO TAXI ON E AT THE NE END OF CMH RAMP! THERE IS NO SIGN ON THE GND STATING THIS EITHER. I HAVE 4 RECOMMENDATIONS TO PREVENT A SIMILAR OCCURRENCE: 1) IF A POTENTIAL CONFLICT EXISTS, GND CTL SHOULD STATE A SPECIFIC TAXI ROUTE. 2) MOVE THE HOLD SHORT LINE TO SHORT OF TXWY E AT NE RAMP. 3) A PROMINENT NOTE SHOULD BE PUT ON KCMH P 11-1 STATING NOT TO TAXI ON E UNTIL CLRED TO BY TWR. 4) A GND SIGN SHOULD BE PLACED PRIOR TO E REQUIRING TWR CLRNC TO ENTER.
