Narrative:
The wind conditions at speedway airport (35Y) was out of the southeast 9 mph active runway 06. I entered a left downwind for 06 at 1500 MSL the pat altitude for 35Y. I announced my left downwind to speedway traffic. I reduced my airspeed to 85 mph and 10% flaps, I announced to speedway traffic my turn to left base. At this time I encountered a wind shear factor. My airspeed indicator dropped the stall light warning sounder. Rapid drop on altitude. I lowered the nose and induced full power, I was still losing altitude. I turned to final. I announced to speedway traffic I was on final. I still had full power but my altitude was dropping off. I regained altitude control at 50' AGL. My airspeed was in excess of 100 mph. I was over the runway but my airspeed was too fast to land safety. I did a go around and landed with no problems. There was no traffic in the pat at this time and I didn't make a PIREP to FSS as I encountered no problem on my second approach.

Title: GA SMA ENCOUNTERED LOW LEVEL WIND SHEAR ON APCH TO 35Y. PLT REGAINED ACFT CONTROL AND MADE A GO AROUND.
Narrative: THE WIND CONDITIONS AT SPEEDWAY ARPT (35Y) WAS OUT OF THE SE 9 MPH ACTIVE RWY 06. I ENTERED A LEFT DOWNWIND FOR 06 AT 1500 MSL THE PAT ALT FOR 35Y. I ANNOUNCED MY LEFT DOWNWIND TO SPEEDWAY TFC. I REDUCED MY AIRSPEED TO 85 MPH AND 10% FLAPS, I ANNOUNCED TO SPEEDWAY TFC MY TURN TO LEFT BASE. AT THIS TIME I ENCOUNTERED A WIND SHEAR FACTOR. MY AIRSPEED INDICATOR DROPPED THE STALL LIGHT WARNING SOUNDER. RAPID DROP ON ALT. I LOWERED THE NOSE AND INDUCED FULL POWER, I WAS STILL LOSING ALT. I TURNED TO FINAL. I ANNOUNCED TO SPEEDWAY TFC I WAS ON FINAL. I STILL HAD FULL POWER BUT MY ALT WAS DROPPING OFF. I REGAINED ALT CONTROL AT 50' AGL. MY AIRSPEED WAS IN EXCESS OF 100 MPH. I WAS OVER THE RWY BUT MY AIRSPEED WAS TOO FAST TO LAND SAFETY. I DID A GO AROUND AND LANDED WITH NO PROBLEMS. THERE WAS NO TFC IN THE PAT AT THIS TIME AND I DIDN'T MAKE A PIREP TO FSS AS I ENCOUNTERED NO PROBLEM ON MY SECOND APCH.
