Narrative:

Cga X was southbound from mke to cvg east of filed routing at FL230. A pointout was given from ZAU to ZID laf sector. Laf sector took handoff on air carrier Y to ord at FL240. Controller forgot about the pointed out on cga X and cleared air carrier Y to FL200. Conflict alert activated when air carrier Y left FL240. Air carrier Y subsequently reclred to FL240 and issued 360 degree heading. Insufficient to maintain separation and conflict alert activated.

INSUFFICIENT TO MAINTAIN SEPARATION AND CONFLICT ALERT ACTIVATED.
