Narrative:
After landing; while turning into taxiway 'C' from the runway; the airplane was left of the taxiway centerline so I [needed] to use right rudder but panicked and accidently pressed left rudder which took me off the taxiway into a dirt area. I tried not to hit a taxiway light so; in order to stop the plane; I used the parking brake and lost all directional control. The propeller struck the runway exit sign; knocking it over and breaking aircraft's propeller.
