Narrative:
I descended the flight of two below the MVA. I gave them a block of 200 to 300 ft. There was a low altitude alert and I advised the aircraft of the current altimeter and alert. I had the mvsa map to low and did not notice the MVA.

Title: An I90 Controller reported issuing a flight of two military aircraft clearance to cruise below the MVA because he had his MVSA map set to low and did not see the MVA.
Narrative: I descended the flight of two below the MVA. I gave them a block of 200 to 300 FT. There was a low altitude alert and I advised the aircraft of the current altimeter and alert. I had the MVSA map to low and did not notice the MVA.
