Narrative:

At mdw cleared to taxi from gate XXXX to 31L hold short of 31R. Subsequently cleared to taxi across 31R hold short 31L call tower on other side. While crossing 31R saw small transport going around from attempted landing on 31R. Called tower and told them we understood we were cleared across 31R and call them on other side. Asked if this was correct. They responded with 'roger'. I don't think (flight # air carrier xx) I violated any FARS but you can't be too careful.
