Narrative:

During climb out I had a CSD oil temperature high warning in the #1 engine--checked temperature indicator and found needle to be fully deflected to the right indicating maximum temperature overheat. Disconnected the CSD from the generator, called for the checklist. Then found that the temperature would not come down, that my backup source of electricity was now my primary source for the left side and it was snowing at my destination airport and I would need to have more fuel on board for being able to get to a reasonable alternate airport if I were to lose another generator. I chose to return to phx, which was my airport of departure to have work performed since I was only 15 mins away. I was required to make an overweight landing and noted this in the log book. Because it was a smooth T/D on landing it only required a minimum inspection of landing gear and tires. I did not feel it was necessary to declare an emergency.
