Narrative:

On departure clearance was changed to go direct to colts neck. Selected col on FMS data base and selected direct. This did not appear to be correct. For about 3 min flew on heading about 30-40 degree to right of correct heading. ATC called at about time we were getting straightened out. We acknowledged a navigation problem and asked for a vector. Ok from there on. 'Col' in data base turns out to be colima, mexico. No notification of this change.
