Narrative:

I was on an IFR flight plan terminating at sus. Stl approach had just handed me off to sus tower after giving me vectors to intercept the localizer of 8R ILS approach. Sus tower cleared me for the approach as #2 to follow an small aircraft X or small aircraft Y and to slow to minimum approach speed. Just outside the OM I was told to watch for an light transport on my left at 4 mi. I reported negative contact due to dense haze. ATC asked my altitude, I reported 2200' MSL. ATC advised me the light transport was at 2200' MSL coming at me. I decided to evade the light transport by climbing above the G/south 100'. ATC advised me the light transport saw me and would pass me since he was faster. The light transport was then sighted by me at approximately 500' below and 100' to the right. I advised ATC I saw the light transport and ATC advise me to follow the light transport on the ILS approach and cautioned 'wake turbulence.' the light transport passed under me and then climbed back to the G/south inside the OM. I was cleared to land as #2 behind the light transport. I feel this situation was unnecessary and that ATC should have decided earlier to place on the planes in a holding pattern or vectored differently so that sep was proper. Also the light transport had to break minimums to pass under me on an ILS approach.

Title: LTT CAME IN CLOSE PROX TO AN SMA WHILE MAKING AN APCH NEAR THE OUTER MARKER.

Narrative: I WAS ON AN IFR FLT PLAN TERMINATING AT SUS. STL APCH HAD JUST HANDED ME OFF TO SUS TWR AFTER GIVING ME VECTORS TO INTERCEPT THE LOC OF 8R ILS APCH. SUS TWR CLRED ME FOR THE APCH AS #2 TO FOLLOW AN SMA X OR SMA Y AND TO SLOW TO MINIMUM APCH SPD. JUST OUTSIDE THE OM I WAS TOLD TO WATCH FOR AN LTT ON MY LEFT AT 4 MI. I RPTED NEGATIVE CONTACT DUE TO DENSE HAZE. ATC ASKED MY ALT, I RPTED 2200' MSL. ATC ADVISED ME THE LTT WAS AT 2200' MSL COMING AT ME. I DECIDED TO EVADE THE LTT BY CLBING ABOVE THE G/S 100'. ATC ADVISED ME THE LTT SAW ME AND WOULD PASS ME SINCE HE WAS FASTER. THE LTT WAS THEN SIGHTED BY ME AT APPROX 500' BELOW AND 100' TO THE RIGHT. I ADVISED ATC I SAW THE LTT AND ATC ADVISE ME TO FOLLOW THE LTT ON THE ILS APCH AND CAUTIONED 'WAKE TURB.' THE LTT PASSED UNDER ME AND THEN CLBED BACK TO THE G/S INSIDE THE OM. I WAS CLRED TO LAND AS #2 BEHIND THE LTT. I FEEL THIS SITUATION WAS UNNECESSARY AND THAT ATC SHOULD HAVE DECIDED EARLIER TO PLACE ON THE PLANES IN A HOLDING PATTERN OR VECTORED DIFFERENTLY SO THAT SEP WAS PROPER. ALSO THE LTT HAD TO BREAK MINIMUMS TO PASS UNDER ME ON AN ILS APCH.
