Narrative:

Landed on runway 05. Turned off the runway and called ground for taxi clearance to the east ramp. Was told to taxi as requested, but to hold short of 36, which I did. The problem is seeing the hold line for runway 36 at mid-field. This is a heavily used taxi route and the hold line is too dirty and faded. When looking into the sun or at night, it is not possible to see the line. We need to get and keep the hold lines in much better condition at many of the airports in the southeast. There should also be greater use of the green on white runway identing signs at hold lines next to runway xings. These are a great help when looking into the sun or at night.
