Narrative:

Large transport inbound to los angeles was told to cross civet (52 east of los angeles) at 14000' descend and maintain 10000'. The pilot read back the clearance correctly but descended to 10000' 12 miles prior to crossing civet, thus descending into ont approach control's airspace. Fortunately ont had no traffic in the area at the time of the incident.

Narrative: LGT INBND TO LOS ANGELES WAS TOLD TO CROSS CIVET (52 E OF LOS ANGELES) AT 14000' DSND AND MAINTAIN 10000'. THE PLT READ BACK THE CLRNC CORRECTLY BUT DSNDED TO 10000' 12 MILES PRIOR TO XING CIVET, THUS DSNDING INTO ONT APCH CTL'S AIRSPACE. FORTUNATELY ONT HAD NO TFC IN THE AREA AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT.
