Narrative:

We were on final ILS 35R about 10 DME. Line of trw's was northwest of airport about 10 mins from dfw, moving east. Airplane on final (air carrier jet) went around and reported 'severe turbulence and wind shear.' we then told tower we wanted to abandon the ILS and turn right so as not to fly through the trw. Tower said he could clear us to fly straight ahead. We told tower we needed to turn right 'for safety reasons.' tower then cleared us to 'do what you have to do.' we acknowledged and said we were turning to the east. Tower then gave us a frequency change to departure controller. The new controller gave us a heading and climb and then advised of traffic a few mins east of us descending through our altitude. At that time we were VMC and reported 'traffic in sight, no problem.' I don't know if the controller considered the situation a problem or a conflict. The reason I am submitting this report is in case there was a conflict of which we were not advised. Observation: there ought to be a procedure established by FAA that would require controllers to adjust traffic flow as necessary so as to keep as missed approach corridor that is thunderstorm free open and available so any plane that needs to abandon an approach can do so west/O having to fly through a thunderstorm to satisfy ATC!

Title: APCH ABANDONED ACCOUNT REPORTED SEVERE TURBULENCE BY A PRECEDING ACFT ON A MISSED APCH.

Narrative: WE WERE ON FINAL ILS 35R ABOUT 10 DME. LINE OF TRW'S WAS NW OF ARPT ABOUT 10 MINS FROM DFW, MOVING E. AIRPLANE ON FINAL (ACR JET) WENT AROUND AND RPTED 'SEVERE TURB AND WIND SHEAR.' WE THEN TOLD TWR WE WANTED TO ABANDON THE ILS AND TURN RIGHT SO AS NOT TO FLY THROUGH THE TRW. TWR SAID HE COULD CLR US TO FLY STRAIGHT AHEAD. WE TOLD TWR WE NEEDED TO TURN RIGHT 'FOR SAFETY REASONS.' TWR THEN CLRED US TO 'DO WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO.' WE ACKNOWLEDGED AND SAID WE WERE TURNING TO THE E. TWR THEN GAVE US A FREQ CHANGE TO DEP CTLR. THE NEW CTLR GAVE US A HDG AND CLB AND THEN ADVISED OF TFC A FEW MINS E OF US DSNDING THROUGH OUR ALT. AT THAT TIME WE WERE VMC AND RPTED 'TFC IN SIGHT, NO PROB.' I DON'T KNOW IF THE CTLR CONSIDERED THE SITUATION A PROB OR A CONFLICT. THE REASON I AM SUBMITTING THIS RPT IS IN CASE THERE WAS A CONFLICT OF WHICH WE WERE NOT ADVISED. OBSERVATION: THERE OUGHT TO BE A PROC ESTABLISHED BY FAA THAT WOULD REQUIRE CTLRS TO ADJUST TFC FLOW AS NECESSARY SO AS TO KEEP AS MISSED APCH CORRIDOR THAT IS TSTM FREE OPEN AND AVAILABLE SO ANY PLANE THAT NEEDS TO ABANDON AN APCH CAN DO SO W/O HAVING TO FLY THROUGH A TSTM TO SATISFY ATC!
