Narrative:

[We] taxied to runway 20L from base of tower. Out F5; [we] missed left turn on a. No signage at all on airport for taxiways and runways. No other aircraft around. Ground control just directed us then on 20R to proceed to 20L. First officer went 'heads down' for a moment. Field was unfamiliar to us and much less sophisticated than all other international airports we use. Next time; I'll make myself more familiar with the unmarked taxiways. It sure would help if the airport would go to the effort to put signs/markings in place.
