Narrative:

I was called to aircraft for a cut in the # 4 main tire. Since the aircraft was due to depart in approximately 30 minutes. I asked for assistance from mechanic Y to change # 4 main tire. I finished the installation of the tire while I proceeded to sign-off the entry in the logbook. After returning back to the shop; mechanic Y explained to me that he might have left a tool on the right main gear spray deflector. I policed the area that we had been working in and was unable to locate the tool. The tool was found on the ramp after filing out this report.
