Narrative:
In route; upon landing; 2 gear lights inoperative. Since my destination airport tower was closed I asked to a low pass at a nearby airport to verify gear extension. Continued to fly and did a manual gear extension and still 2 lights inoperative. I declared an emergency and landed at that airport as a precaution. Checked gear and departed to my destination and landed safely.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: After extending the landing gear; two BE36 gear down lights did not function; so the pilot declared an emergency; had a nearby Tower verify the gear down; landed and after checking the gear proceeded to his destination airport.
