Narrative:

Approximately a yr ago a jump zone was established at the sns 045/16 and another about 10 mi northwest of this one. These are both located on the sjc localizer, the first about 45 mi southeast of sjc, the second 35 mi southeast of sjc. Propellers and turboprops cross these points between 14000' and 6000' usually descending jumps are usually conducted between 8000' and 12000'. At first the jump aircraft talked to ZOA and advised us at least 5 mins prior to any jump so we could separate from traffic we were working. I personally have not worked one of these jump planes in over 2 months. On sun, small transport X, an air taxi, was inbound on the sjc localizer at 8000'. I quoted VFR traffic which he sighted. He then asked if we were working the traffic. We weren't. He said the aircraft was at 11000-12000' and dropped parachutists just as he passed underneath. Having a drop zone on a localizer, this close to a major airport is a bad idea. At the least, these jump planes should be talking with ZOA.
