Narrative:

My last flight sequence was scheduled in a way that does not allow flight attendants to get adequate sleep and rest to do their jobs safely...or simply be able to drive home. Following our flight from mexico to the united states we had a 13:41 [daytime] layover where getting sleep during the day was required and difficult to do before the next two segments the following evening. I was able to sleep for 2 hours and that was it. After flying the all night segment I was unable to rest during our 2:45 minute sit as we had to go through customs. There is no area available for us to take a break.on most of our all night international trips flight attendants are given breaks while basically working the same amount as we did on this sequence. Scheduling multiple segments during night time hours with a sit whereat is impossible to rest prevented me from thinking fast and clearly. I was severely fatigued.even after taking a short nap in my car before driving home I swerved off the road and almost hit a guard rail because I fell asleep at the wheel. I was forced to sleep in my car until I was safely able to get home. I planned on calling in fatigued for reserve the next day but was released. I have serious concerns about fatigue issues over this type of scheduling.
