Narrative:
[I] performed maintenance by replacing a seal on door-2Left [on an A319 aircraft]. When closing door; I accidentally reached for slide handle and cycled it; as I closed the door. When food service personnel opened the door; the slide accidentally opened up and slide fell onto truck platform partially; [but] did not inflate. Write-up was made and slide replaced. No aircraft damage or delay occurred.
