Narrative:

Aircraft X was on a vector towards toward the final for ads. Aircraft Y was VFR trying to get into ads with ceilings reported at 1700 AGL by the latest metar at ads and was being worked by dal. I told them to keep him initially but then told dal radar contact but turn aircraft Y east away from my three IFR arrivals. Aircraft Y continued eastbound on dal's frequency and was placed nose to nose with aircraft X with only 200 feet of vertical separation. I told dal to 'switch him before he hits somebody.' the bonanza reported on my frequency with the king air in sight. This was after I had called a traffic alert to the king air and had turned him 30 degrees right immediately. Recommendation; create a standard arrival route into ads from dal in a north flow rather than dal just driving directly to the airport with little or no time to react to other ads inbound traffic.
