Narrative:

Cruise flight at 6;000 ft. IFR flight plan in VFR conditions. The engine started running rough. Checked engine controls. Approach control advised that we were 15 west of the airport and asked if we wanted vectors. Made a turn to the airport. The engine power was decreasing. Declared an emergency and started descending. I realized that it was not possible to make it to the airport. Landed in a pasture. No damage to the airplane and no injuries to the passengers.
