Narrative:
[We were] unable to pressurize aircraft after takeoff. QRH procedures reviewed. Air return was initiated with ATC. Aircraft landed under its maximum landing weight of 114;000 pounds. Upon arrival at gate; east&east compartment door was found to be open. Aircraft was subsequently re-released under MEL 52-03-01. Next flight segment was uneventful.

Title: B737 flight crew discovers that the aircraft will not pressurize after takeoff and elects to return to the departure airport. Maintenance discovers that the E&E compartment door is open and the door warning system is malfunctioning.
