Narrative:

I'm an flm and was doing a skill check on a cpcit. I filed a report yesterday on the event that I thought needed it. When I came into work today I found out that was another proximity event during the session. After watching the whole session again on the nop/tarp I decided to report the entire session. I realized; although I prompted the cpcit on almost all of the situations that developed; I let them get a little too far out of hand before I took over or gave a direct order to do something. I also feel that a lot of the problems we have at our facility can be fixed with some new radar. I recommended to my atm that I be given some skill enhancement training; which will be running ttg's with my cpcit and to actually work a little more on the radar scopes. In the past we were always told that we are here to manage not to work airplanes; which is true; but when I have to get in there I need to be able to get the cpcit out of a jam. I asked to get my currency time while I'm actually working airplanes not just counting the skill check time as currency time.

Narrative: I'm an FLM and was doing a skill check on a CPCIT.
