Narrative:

I filed an IFR flight plan with day FSS. The routing filed was from mgy then direct tvt and then radar vectors to destination cak. I received my clearance from day approach. It was 'cleared as filed.' I took off and was navigated direct to tvt. Day approach then switched me over to columbus approach on 125.95. The controller asked me if I was navigating direct appleton VOR. I said no, that I was going direct tvt. He said my clearance was direct ape according to his flight plan information. These VOR's are very close together. I think someone in FSS or approach wrote down the wrong VOR for my first fix. I reviewed my flight plan as it was filed and it said mgy direct tvt radar vectors cak.
