Narrative:

Aircraft was filed ksle--ubg--ksle for a test flight. Later on the r-side; cleared the aircraft to onp--ubg and entered the same. When the route was accepted; eram showed ksle--SLE308005--onp--ubg--ksle--ubg--ksle. Instead of tying in with the existing route; eram added the amendment before the existing route thereby duplicating the route. The route should have showed ksle--SLE308005--onp--ubg--ksle. Recommendation; prevent duplicate routes like this and have the computer tie into the existing route and not add to the existing route.
