While proceeding on V-137 104 degree radial of the cajon 5 arrival to ontario, ca, approximately 30 DME or hespe intersection; communication with la center 128.20 is very intermittent, causing missed calls; radio squelch needs to be full gain to receive. This occurs at 11000' MSL and is worse at depicted area. 10700' MSL of this arrival leg (pmd to hespe intersection). This also occurs with different aircraft at same location.
