Narrative:

Heavy weather was moving in from the southwest. In the tower we were holding departures due to weather off the departure end. As the weather moved onto the airport; level 4 and 5; the visibility went down; the winds picked up considerably and lightning and heavy rain came down. I told final vector about the conditions and believe I recommended to him to pull them out. He said I'll let them know. Final shipped the 3 aircraft; minimally spaced; right into the worst part of the weather and there was no one good way to turn them as they all went around. Recommendation; it would be one thing to send them in if the weather was not over the field yet; but once its there; you put the flight in an unsafe situation. Don't send aircraft down the final when there is a good probability they'll go around into some nasty weather. The TRACON put the tower and the aircraft into a difficult situation.
