Narrative:
I was conducting OJT instruction on approach control. Medium large transport X was inbound at 14000. My developmental descended medium large transport X to 12000. The pilot read back 10000, but neither my developmental nor I caught the error in the readback. The aircraft was handed off to another controller who caught medium large transport X descending through his assigned altitude. No other aircraft were involved.

THE PLT READ BACK 10000, BUT NEITHER MY DEVELOPMENTAL NOR I CAUGHT THE ERROR IN THE READBACK. THE ACFT WAS HANDED OFF TO ANOTHER CTLR WHO CAUGHT MLG X DSNDING THROUGH HIS ASSIGNED ALT. NO OTHER ACFT WERE INVOLVED.
