Narrative:
I was taking off in a 3/4 [scale] P-51 when I was hit by a gust of wind; just as the tail was lifting up; that blew me off the runway. There was right wheel damage with right strut damage. After having the wheel and strut repaired I departed with no problem.

Title: Pilot of high performance tail wheel aircraft reports a runway excursion during attempted takeoff due to a gust of wind. Aircraft damage results.
Narrative: I was taking off in a 3/4 [scale] P-51 when I was hit by a gust of wind; just as the tail was lifting up; that blew me off the runway. There was right wheel damage with right strut damage. After having the wheel and strut repaired I departed with no problem.
