Narrative:

Departed enroute on a part 91 empty. In cruse at 5000 MSL the master caution lights and an red oil 2 lo press light illuminated. The flying pilot accomplished the emergency memory items for oil low pressure. After the #2 engine shutdown we consulted the checklist and accomplished the engine shutdown or failure in flight checklist. The flying pilot declared an emergency with ATC. We troubleshot and determined a nearby was a better choice for landing.
