Narrative:

After landing; during our taxi to the gate; the CRT's started to flicker. From experience; I have seen this happen with an electrical problem; so I immediately looked above my head to see the condition of the generators. The left generator had dropped off the line. As I was looking overhead the first officer reported that we had lost most of our oil pressure on the left engine and it was shutting down. We immediately shut the fuel control switch for the left engine off and got out the QRH. I saw that we had a status message; so I selected the status page and read 'left lp pump.' we concluded that we lost a fuel pump which caused the engine to shut down which caused the generator to drop off the line. We taxied to the gate without further incident and made the necessary log book entries.
