Narrative:
The asde-X alarmed. Looked up saw aircraft departing runway and an aircraft clearing the runway at bravo 9 stopped. Recommendation; we been having a lot of problems with our asde-X; not sure how reliable it is?

Title: SAN Controller observed/noted an ASDE-X alarm along with an aircraft on departure role; the reporter indicated a previous landing aircraft was clearing the runway as the alarm activated.
Narrative: The ASDE-X alarmed. Looked up saw aircraft departing runway and an aircraft clearing the runway at Bravo 9 stopped. Recommendation; we been having a lot of problems with our ASDE-X; not sure how reliable it is?
