Narrative:

[Our flight plan] included a segment from bld J72 bavpe J72 txo. While it seems that J72 just continues through bavpe there seems to be an anomaly that warrants attention. After bld VOR your route goes through pgs then mosbi then bavpe; dilco; and gup. The courses are 077 from pgs to mosbi then 085 to bavpe for only one (1) NM then returning back to a course of 079 to dilco. There seems to be an anomaly in the location of either mosbi or bavpe on J72 as there is only 1NM that separates them with a course change of 6-8 degrees. The FMS database shows this segment in plan view as a cross-course lighting bolt with no way of knowing how the aircraft will react. We were cleared direct to tcc prior to arriving at this point of J72 so we never actually experienced how the aircraft would react. The FMS database showed a course of 078-093-078 through this segment.
