Narrative:

We were being vectored from the south for 25R. Controller had a 737 straight in on 25L. He had us crossing over the other aircraft and turning final in close proximity to the 737 which left us somewhat high and in close proximity to the 737. It would seem to me that having the 737 switch over to 25R and us land on 25L would have been the safest action.

Title: An A319 flight crew took exception to the manner in which Approach Control sequenced them; requiring that they pass over a B737 on the left parallel runway in order to fly a visual approach to the right.
