Narrative:

Landed uneventfully [runway] 28R; crossed 28L; and cleared at [taxiway] D. Ground instructed us to taxi 'B-F-a to the gate.' we taxied eastward on B and in the depicted hotspot east of D we transitioned to a. Ground informed us that we had just turned on east; not on F as instructed. We obtained a new clearance and taxied via a uneventfully to the gate.looking at the airport diagram; taxiing east on B; it is confusing to interpret the instruction 'taxi b-f-a to the gate.' in particular; looking at the close-up of the associated hotspot; the portion of 'F' where we were instructed to turn is not labeled 'F'; in fact it is not labeled at all. The portion of 'F' where we should have turned is as follows: looking westward from where 'F' intersects runway 1L; F turns directly south; crosses B; and joins a in approximately the same location that F1 joins a. This is the portion of F we should have turned on. The only indication of this is signage on the ground. In other words; it's impossible to determine what exactly constitutes 'taxiway F' beyond the portion immediately west of 1L by looking at the chart. If anything; my interpretation of the HS1 depiction would be that 'F' continues straight west from where it intersects 1L; crosses B; and terminates in the same vicinity of where a; east; and J are joined. To conclude; the clearance 'taxi b-f-a to the gate' is confusing and I honestly can't tell you by looking at the 10-9 chart exactly where ATC expects us to taxi. The chart needs to be updated immediately in my opinion to reflect clearly and accurately all of the taxiways in the hotspot southwest of the runway 1L/28L intersection. In particular; taxiway F needs to be labeled clearly and in its entirety.
