Narrative:

[The] pilot experienced loss of power and made an approach to a river sandbar to land. Prior to touchdown; engine power was restored with boost pump and the flight continued in ground effect prior to climb out. Power lines were observed crossing the river ahead which exceeded the aircraft's climb ability. The flight continued under the power lines and aircraft climbed back to cruise altitude. Pilot noted several boaters on the eastern bank of the river. Pilot continued to nearest airport where inspection of engine driven fuel pump revealed a cracked fuel pulse line. Suggest that pilots frequently inspect condition of fuel pump pulse line and replace if inspection reveals hardening.
