Narrative:

The hotel at the departure end of runway 34L in reno has installed a night driving range. The range has baseball stadium type lights which light up the driving range. Unfortunately; the lights also shine toward the airport and at somewhere between 300 and 500 feet the lights shine into the flight deck making it difficult to see the runway for a few seconds. There are no shields installed on the lights to prevent the approach from being lit up. The FAA should be notified and require shields to be put on the lighting. This same problem happened in sna a few years ago and the shields installed there work great.
