Narrative:

Cleared to woodstown VOR via direct. This was accomplished. As we were in the area of odd we were direct to rbv to cross a point 20 southwest of rbv at 11 M. I started a descent to make the crossing I then got a clearance to cross rbv at 8000 at 250 KT. I thought that clearance cancelled the 11000 hard crossing at 20 mi southwest and continued to descend to 10000'. Reduced airspeed for the 8000 at rbv. The controller then called us and asked our altitude at 22 NM southwest rbv. We told him 10000 and he came back and said that 11000' at 20 NM was still in effect. We immediately climbed back to 10800' at which time we crossed 20 NM southwest rbv. We then proceeded to descend to 8 mi at rbv and the rest of the trip.

Title: CROSSING RESTRICTION NOT REINSTATED WHEN AMENDED ALT ASSIGNMENT GIVEN.

Narrative: CLRED TO WOODSTOWN VOR VIA DIRECT. THIS WAS ACCOMPLISHED. AS WE WERE IN THE AREA OF ODD WE WERE DIRECT TO RBV TO CROSS A POINT 20 SW OF RBV AT 11 M. I STARTED A DSCNT TO MAKE THE XING I THEN GOT A CLRNC TO CROSS RBV AT 8000 AT 250 KT. I THOUGHT THAT CLRNC CANCELLED THE 11000 HARD XING AT 20 MI SW AND CONTINUED TO DSND TO 10000'. REDUCED AIRSPD FOR THE 8000 AT RBV. THE CTLR THEN CALLED US AND ASKED OUR ALT AT 22 NM SW RBV. WE TOLD HIM 10000 AND HE CAME BACK AND SAID THAT 11000' AT 20 NM WAS STILL IN EFFECT. WE IMMEDIATELY CLBED BACK TO 10800' AT WHICH TIME WE CROSSED 20 NM SW RBV. WE THEN PROCEEDED TO DSND TO 8 MI AT RBV AND THE REST OF THE TRIP.
