Narrative:

The number three inboard slat track was robbed from an aircraft (B777) for another B777 after failing the torque check per an engineering order. The defective track item was item 15; a bushing; per the illustrated parts catalog (ipc) 27-81-43-001; which was loose in the track. This track was installed on the first aircraft after some rework function was performed. A remove and repair order was made that manufactured a bushing but contained no rework instructions. The manager asked me to continue the installation and obtain a write-up for this defect. I created a write-up to address this situation and the document was than signed-off per the remove and repair order. The manager indicated the hole in the track was .002 of an inch oversized. I am unsure as to the serviceability of this track. No rework instructions or authorization can be found to approve this track for installation.
