During the course of performing jobcards for operational tests of rudder servo; [horizontal] stab trim; and cargo smoke detection; I failed to make a logbook entry for the installation and removal of landing gear safety locks. Found during paperwork audit that determined [that the] logbook entry was overlooked. [Contributing] cause was inconsistent requirements for logbook entries. Suggest making policy consistent for all jobcards to have requirements for logbook entries [when safety locks installed].
