Title: A Line Mechanic reports about an inadvertent deployment of a B757-200 Ram Air Turbine (RAT) while troubleshooting a Pilot report of an inoperative RAT push-button switch light.
Narrative: Crew reported RAT Deployment push button switch light inoperative. During maintenance to correct inoperative RAT Deployment switch; the Ram Air Turbine (RAT) was deployed. Flight delay of 13 minutes was incurred and retract procedure of RAT completed per AMM 29-21-00.
