Narrative:
I was PIC of small transport X atx seaplane. Advised tower I was taxiing on the pond which parallels runway 26/08 with the ATIS. Tower informed me to call ready and direction requested, I then could hear air carrier large transport Y report (barlo) a reporting point for entering downwind for runway 26. Called tower couple mins later ready to go east on the pond. Then heard large transport Y on downwind. Tower cleared me east departure on the pond with a left turn north of the center line of runway 26 which I did. My position was roughly 3 mi from airport center and I did as tower instructed me to do and had a visual on the large transport Y throughout the procedure and did not have to make evasive action of any kind and felt I was at a safe distance, along with my passenger and company personnel.
