Accepted an aircraft with the left generator inop. APU faulted in route approx 150 miles east of ZZZ. Attempted restart; APU started; but upon reaching 100% faulted again. Advised ATC; declared emergency; ran checklist for right generator inoperative; requested a diversion to ZZZ.
