Narrative:

We were level at FL240 and were switched to ZME 126.1. The copilot called several times and I also tried. We thought was received clearance to 10000'. Copilot replied small transport leaving FL240 to 10000'. We were in an area of thunderstorms and I was busy looking at radar and did not notice the frequency selected was 124.1. I didn't know of the problem until the copilot realized her mistake and called ZME on 126.1 and he asked us who gave us clearance to 10000'. I didn't know about the frequency mix up until we got on the ground and were talking about it. I think the problem was caused by a late handoff to ZME and were expected a descent clearance.

Narrative: WE WERE LEVEL AT FL240 AND WERE SWITCHED TO ZME 126.1. THE COPLT CALLED SEVERAL TIMES AND I ALSO TRIED. WE THOUGHT WAS RECEIVED CLRNC TO 10000'. COPLT REPLIED SMT LEAVING FL240 TO 10000'. WE WERE IN AN AREA OF TSTMS AND I WAS BUSY LOOKING AT RADAR AND DID NOT NOTICE THE FREQ SELECTED WAS 124.1. I DIDN'T KNOW OF THE PROB UNTIL THE COPLT REALIZED HER MISTAKE AND CALLED ZME ON 126.1 AND HE ASKED US WHO GAVE US CLRNC TO 10000'. I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THE FREQ MIX UP UNTIL WE GOT ON THE GND AND WERE TALKING ABOUT IT. I THINK THE PROB WAS CAUSED BY A LATE HDOF TO ZME AND WERE EXPECTED A DSCNT CLRNC.
