Narrative:

Taxiing from west ramp to east ramp. I was on taxiway juliet ground instructed me to cross runway 17 and make a right turn. I crossed runway 17 and took a right turn onto runway 13R. As soon as I realized I was on an active runway I executed a 180 degree turn and added power to exit runway. I added power too rapidly and the engine was not warm. The engine stalled and an airline jet had to execute a go around. While the engine was stalled I was half on the runway and half on the taxiway. The engine restarted without incident and I exited the 13R. Contributing factors. Poor quality headset, unfamiliar with txwys on apt. I should have asked for progressive taxi instruction. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter states controller's intended route was juliet to hotel, right to lima, cross runway 17 at microphone. Instructions did not really give this information, very minimal. Pilot confused. Hind sight indicates clarification was needed. No further action from FAA.
