Narrative:

During descent on arrival passing FL270 we got a right oil filter EICAS. Following flight manual procedures we reduced throttle all the way back to idle but light remained on. Procedures direct to wait 2 minutes at idle then accomplish in-flight engine shutdown checklist; which we did. We looked at all available airports and concluded that our destination was the nearest suitable in point of time based on our position and altitude.
