Narrative:

During cruise at FL400 we lost the system 'B' hydraulics. The quantity went to zero and the pressure went to approximately 40 psi. We declared an emergency with the center and continued the arrival. We coordinated with the tower to have emergency ground response after landing as a precautionary measure. We completed all checklists and made a flaps 15 landing on the longest runway. The fire chief confirmed the aircraft looked normal after landing and followed us to parking. Maintenance then took control of the aircraft once everyone deplaned at the gate.
