Narrative:
As part of the opening check list I called flight service in prescott; az. He gave me the NOTAM's; then I asked for the wind forecast. He replied that he was de-certified on the weather and could not give me any weather information. I asked if there was someone there that could and he told me no! I wonder how the pilots were getting the weather? Recommendation; I don't see any other than returning FSS to the FAA.
Original NASA ASRS Text
